A little about me
In January 2010 I left my job of 12 years to find my bliss. Two months later, after several discussions D, my fiancé, and I decided that this bliss included a transatlantic move.
The move meant selling my condo and leaving the city I grew up in — Toronto, Canada — leaving my family and friends for a city I knew little about: Nice, France.
Are you wondering why we chose Nice? Well, who can say no to the sunshine and the blue skies of the Côte d’Azur. Besides, D had always wanted to live in Nice and I am a girl of the sun.

I started this blog as a way to document the challenges and the rewards that were a part of our move. And there have been a lot of both. Of course, I’ve been able to get out and see other cities in the South of France. My favourite reasons to be in Nice, however, are the change of pace and the food. Oh yes, the food! Nice has two great markets and lots of restaurants.
I also get to travel a fair bit, which also means that I get to try foods and markets in other cities in France and in Europe. This feeds my other love: photography.
So, come along with me as I share with you my favourite tastes and sights!
