D turned to me and said, “I will if you will.”
I knew he was kidding and he knew my answer would be negative.
We stood there watching these young risk takers fill out forms and put on their harnesses and I wondered why on earth would you willingly throw yourself off a bridge, in this case Pont de l’Artuby (or Pont de Chaulière) with a rope tied around your ankles. I cannot say I was envious.
Here’s a short clip as one young fellow stepped off the bridge.
(If you’re wondering about the laughter it has to do with the “p—– de m—-” from the jumper.)
And with this as a view I wasn’t even tempted.
It wasn’t just the bungee jumping that pulled us this far inland however. D and I climbed yet another mountain — yes, still in the air-conditioned car — to see Lac de Sainte Croix , Gorges du Verdon and pretty villages along the way.
Beautiful, non?

I’m with you. NEVER going to bungee jump. But that lake looks divine, and I’m ready to plan a weekend away in Ste. Croix du Verdon! Merci pour le bon idee!
It is a good spot to be. Bon weekend!
