D and I were recently told that there isn’t anything to see or do in Baden-Baden. After less than 24 hours here we can’t confirm the accuracy of that statement. Besides, what does that even mean? There’s always something to do wherever you go; it’s just whether or not that something is for you.
If you’re looking for pedestrian friendly streets, boutiques and shops, jewellery and chocolates, then Baden-Baden is for you.
And of course, let’s not forget the spa. At dinner last night, as we sat outside on the patio at Kurhaus Baden-Baden, we wondered if all the people with crutches were here for a spa cure. It was strange to see so many people walking around with crutches.
Still, they had reason to be cruising the streets. Baden-Baden is a pretty walking town.

Now, I just need to make a stop at the spa!

I too only spent less than 24 hrs in Baden Baden, and while I didn’t see anything ‘amazing’, it was fun wandering the streets, looking in the boutiques, and hanging out in the park.
So true! Always something to do, if you do your homework and aren’t too jaded.
I admit I don’t do much homework when it comes to travelling in Europe. Most often, my trips are partially business related so I never really know how much free time I’ll have. Baden-Baden was just a day trip with no work involved so I was able to sit back and chill and enjoy the town. And yeah, there is always something new to see/do so just get to it and enjoy!
